Diamond Sourcing

Sourcing our Fancy Coloured Diamonds is a meticulous process and it requires years of trusted relationships with suppliers, from mine to market, and a discerning eye for quality that only decades of hands-on expertise can provide.

Fancy Coloured Diamonds cannot be purchased based solely from a certificate, they each have to be physically held and viewed in natural daylight to truly determine if it possesses the desired attributes and reaches our standards.

Our In-House Workshop

Setting a Fancy Coloured Diamond requires careful consideration of how the gem interacts with its metal. Our in-house artisans have honed this craft over decades. For these diamonds, highlighting the diamond’s colour is essential to enhancing its beauty.

Celebrated for their distinctive brilliance, yellow diamonds are among the most captivating of all coloured gemstones. Since their historic discovery in 19th-century South Africa, they have been revered for their vibrant hue and remarkable presence.

A yellow diamond’s colour is a natural phenomenon, created by the presence of nitrogen within the stone during its formation. These trace elements absorb blue light and reflect yellow, resulting in a spectrum of tones ranging from soft, luminous gold to intense, richly saturated colour.

Naturally occurring and exceptionally rare, these diamonds are classified as “fancy” coloured diamonds, with depth and purity of colour playing a key role in their value.

Beyond their striking appearance, yellow diamonds offer remarkable versatility. They pair beautifully with yellow gold for a rich, seamless warmth, or with white gold and platinum for a refined, contemporary contrast. Their distinctive colour brings a sense of individuality to both classic and modern designs, making them a compelling choice for those seeking something exceptional.

Like all diamonds, they rank 10 on the Mohs scale of hardness, combining beauty with durability suited to everyday wear. Their natural radiance flatters every skin tone, offering a unique alternative to traditional white diamonds while maintaining the same timeless elegance.

Yellow diamonds remain a true celebration of nature’s artistry, an enduring choice for those drawn to colour, character and refinement.

Pink diamonds are incredibly rare and are recognised as the rarest among all fancy coloured diamonds.

They are an extraordinary geological anomaly, the pink hues are thought to be caused by changes in the crystal structure. Pink diamonds make up less than 0.1% of total diamonds sourced globally. This unique phenomenon contributes to their scarcity and enduring allure.

Both expressive and timeless, pink diamonds bring a sense of romance and individuality to jewellery, they are a true symbol of distinction and refined taste.
