At any given moment, the wearer can observe the precise configuration of the northern hemisphere’s celestial dome, including the apparent motion of the stars, as well as the phases and orbit of the moon.
Two skeletonized hands indicate the hours and minutes of mean solar time, while a delicate ellipse - applied to the underside of the sapphire crystal - frames the portion of the sky visible from Geneva and other cities sharing its latitude.
